1. Let the appliance cool down first
Safety first: unplug the appliance and let the airfryer cool down completely before cleaning anything. This way you avoid burns and damage to parts.
2. Remove the removable parts
Remove the basket, drawer and any racks. Most parts can be put in warm soapy water or, if allowed by the manual, in the dishwasher.
3. Soak stubborn grease in warm soapy water
For caked-on residue: fill a bowl with warm water and a dash of dishwashing detergent and soak the parts for 10-20 minutes. Then wipe off the dirt easily with a soft sponge.
4. Do not use metal scouring pads
Metal sponges or sharp brushes can damage the non-stick coating. Use a soft sponge or nylon brush to avoid scratching.
5. Clean the inside carefully
Clean the inside wall of the airfryer with a damp microfibre cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid aggressive degreasers on sensitive surfaces.
6. Remove odour and grease residues with baking soda
For stubborn odours or caked-on spots: make a paste of baking soda and water, apply to the spot, leave on for 10-15 minutes and wipe off with a soft cloth.
7. Clean the heating element
Turn grease can collect under the heating element. Carefully clean the element with a soft brush or cloth, taking care not to allow water to run into the electrical parts.
8. Exterior and control panel
Clean the exterior and control panel with a slightly damp microfibre cloth. Do not use aerosols or a lot of water around the buttons and display.
9. Prevent caked-on residues
Place baking paper with holes or a silicone mat in the basket for sticky dishes and remove food residues immediately after use. Regular cleaning prevents dirt build-up and shortens each cleaning time.
10. Do a quick cleaning after every 5-10 cooking sessions
A quick clean (take out, wipe, dry) will keep your airfryer in top condition and extend the life of your appliance.
