Today we are highlighting three products from your kitchen cupboard: cleaning vinegar, lemon and baking soda.
1. Cleaning vinegar: anti-scaling agent
Vinegar is a real jack-of-all-trades. Thanks to its acidity, it is the ultimate enemy of limescale and grease.
- Our tip: Do you suffer from limescale on your taps or in the kettle? Mix one part water with one part vinegar, let it soak in for a while and rinse. Your taps will shine like new again!
- Please note: Never use vinegar on natural stone (such as marble), as the acid can corrode the stone.
2. Lemon: the fresh degreaser
Lemon not only smells great in summer, it is also a natural counter to discolouration and grease.
- Our tip: Cut a lemon in half and rub your cutting boards with it to remove unpleasant odours. Or put a bowl of water with lemon slices in the microwave, run for 5 minutes on the highest setting and wipe off the grease in no time with a cloth.
3. Baking soda: the gentle scourer
Baking soda (or baking soda) is perfect for jobs where you need that extra bit of sanding power without scratching.
- Our tip: Make a paste of baking soda and a little water to get bathroom grout or a caked-on baking dish white and clean again. It also absorbs unpleasant odours in the fridge!
