1. Aluminium garden furniture
Aluminium is popular because it is easy to maintain and does not rust.
- To get started: Use a soft brush for loose sand and a soak of lukewarm water with a mild detergent (such as green soap).
- TRIXXO tip: Avoid the pressure washer! The hard jet can damage the protective coating, causing corrosion to strike faster.
2. Wooden garden furniture
Wood is alive and needs a bit more love to remove that grey haze or green tarnish.
- To get started: Wet the wood well and scrub in the direction of the wood grain with a coarse brush and a mixture of warm water and baking soda or a special wood cleaner.
- TRIXXO tip: After cleaning, let wooden furniture dry completely before treating it with oil or stain if necessary to nourish it.
3. Plastic garden furniture
White plastic chairs can sometimes turn grey after a winter outdoors.
- To get started: A simple microfibre cloth and all-purpose cleaner will work wonders. For stubborn dirt, you can use a special plastic cleaner.
- TRIXXO tip: Never use abrasives or a scouring pad; these will create tiny scratches in which dirt will later stick even deeper.
The result? A radiant terrace that you can enjoy all spring and summer.
