At TRIXXO Service Vouchers, we are proud every day of the dedication shown by our housekeepers. But did you know that behind those sparkling windows and spotless floors, there are often hidden talents too? Meet this passionate housekeeper at TRIXXO who, under the pseudonym Linn Cooper, will soon release her very first book: ‘Swipe, Match, Delete’.

What is your book about?

“In short: modern dating life. The story follows Linn Cooper, a woman in her thirties who is trying to get her life back on track after a breakup, together with her dog Nova. But she misses love and dives into the world of Tinder. What follows is a hilarious and honest rollercoaster of awkward dates, disappointments and hope. It’s based on true events; searching for love definitely isn’t for the faint-hearted!”

How did you come up with the idea of writing a book?

“After yet another failed relationship, I got the idea to actually write down my story. I always used to say: ‘I could write a book about this.’ One day, I decided to really do it.”

Do you ever get brilliant ideas for a chapter while cleaning?

“Absolutely! While cleaning, I’m often thinking about my story and how to phrase certain things. Many writers say that being physically active helps organise your thoughts, and I experience it the same way. I often get my best ideas while working, and then write them down immediately in the evening.”

How important is creativity for you alongside your job?

“I think it’s very important to do things outside of work that give you energy. Whether that’s writing, making music, exercising or going for walks. It helps clear your mind and recharge yourself.”

Do your clients know they have an author in their home?

“Yes, all of my families know about it! It’s nice to share that with them. That way, they also get to know another side of the person who keeps their home spotless every week. The best reactions come from clients who say they’re going to buy the book right away and can’t wait to read it.”

What gives you the most satisfaction: a sparkling clean house or a finished chapter?

“Honestly? Both! It feels wonderful to close the door behind you after a day’s work and know that a family is coming home to a clean house. But finishing a chapter is also incredibly satisfying. It’s another step closer to the final result.”

Do you have a message for colleagues who also have a dream?

“Go for it! Just do it! If you’re afraid, talk to someone about it for that extra push. Twenty years from now, you don’t want to look back and think: ‘What if…?’. So my advice is: go for it!”
