In the beginning it took some getting used to. “I had to run down the battery completely before I was allowed to charge it for the first time. I had never done that before, but it is all very easy. You can set the speed of the bicycle. I don't cycle faster than 20 km/h. That's enough for me. It’s a very comfortable ride, the difference with my old bike is really huge.” Samantha's bicycle is leased. “I am paying 64 euros per month for 3 years. I have to have it checked every year. The lease includes an amount of €300 for repairs. I don't have a driving licence and therefore no car. I do all my trips by bicycle. I look forward to going on bike rides with my kids when the weather is nicer.”
