- If you work at least 4/5 as an employee. In practice, the check looks at whether you were working at least 4/5 three quarters earlier. So if you want to work as a flexi-jobber in January 2027, you need to have worked at least 4/5 in April, May and June 2026.
- If you are retired. This is now possible as soon as your pension starts. Only if you want to work as a flexi-jobber for your former employer do you have to wait until the quarter after you retire.
